Headteacher’s Welcome
Welcome to Chapel-en-le-Frith High School. We are a mixed, 11-16 comprehensive school of 965 pupils, originally opened in 1972. In 2003 we moved into brand new purpose-built accommodation offering first-class resources and facilities.
We have been a specialist Technology College since 2005 and have used the opportunities specialist status offers to develop further learning and teaching and to strengthen already good links with the local community and nearby schools.
Our traditional catchment area has been Chapel-en-le-Frith and the surrounding villages of Buxworth, Chinley and Whaley Bridge but, in recent years, pupils have travelled from further afield, attracted by our growing reputation for high academic standards and expectations, strong pastoral care and excellence in working with pupils with special educational needs for instance.
Our school is a thriving and caring community and this web site can only give a taste of its many successes. The best way to get to know the school is to see us at work. If you would like to arrange a visit, please contact the school office to make an appointment. We look forward to meeting you.
