Welcome

Chapel-en-le-Frith High School is a popular and over-subscribed school serving the local community and the wider area.  The school’s modern, purpose-built accommodation provides superb facilities for learning.

Our excellent reputation is founded on high standards of teaching combined with excellent pastoral care and high aspirations.  A wide range of extra-curricular activities including sport, art, drama and music are on offer to our students.

I am delighted that the school’s strengths were recognised in our recent Ofsted inspection when the school’s work was judged “Good” in all areas of the new inspection framework which is recognised as the most demanding framework to date.  This result reflects the commitment of our staff team who are continually working to further improve learning whilst ensuring that students are treated as individuals and are happy whilst at school.

We are always happy to welcome visitors, please contact us if you would like to visit the school or if you require any further information.

Chapel-en-le-Frith High School passes tough test with flying colours

Staff and students at Chapel-en-le-Frith High School started this half term with an inspection from the Government’s inspectorate of schools, The Office for Standards in Education (Ofsted).  The inspection was carried out under the new, much tougher, inspection framework recently introduced by the coalition Government and unashamedly designed to raise expectations with a view to raising standards nationally.

The school’s inspection report was published last week and reveals that the school was judged to be “good”. More details in News and Events »

Chapel-on-le-foot challenge

Chapel-on-le-Foot 2012 Challenge

Have you spotted any of our staff with a spring in their step around the streets, hills and fields of Chapel? If you have, you have seen staff participating in the ‘Chapel-on-le-Foot 2012 Challenge’! The challenge, very appropriate in this Olympic year, is to run a whopping total of 2012 kilometres from or to the school site by October half term.

This madcap plan is designed to raise money for the school’s local charity, Blythe House Hospice and we’ve set ourselves the target of raising £2012

In order to encourage and support the staff, you are welcome to donate money via the link http://www.justgiving.com/chapel-on-le-foot. Every donation counts! If you haven’t seen any staff running around Chapel yet, it is obviously because we are so fast!
